Audio Up partners to join the metaverse

Audio Up is joining the metaverse. The award-winning audio entertainment brand has announced a first-of-its-kind partnership with next-gen gaming metaverse Star Atlas. Audio Up will release an original, scripted sci-fi adventure podcast later this year, bringing the Star Atlas metaverse and galactic marketplace to audio storytelling.

The eight-episode Moon Station Six series is set inside an experimental jail in the extreme reaches of the Star Atlas universe, and it uses both characters and lore from the game to tell its story. The series depicts an android bounty hunter who is falsely convicted of a murder he did not commit, and has been compared to HBO’s Oz and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Moon Station Six, which was created by Audio Up Chief Creative Officer Jimmy Jellinek, will have an original soundtrack as well as NFT drops that unlock additional aspects within the story, original music, and graphics.

Star Atlas is a next-gen metaverse that looks to take the best of blockchain technology and real-time graphics technology to build a gaming experience built to last millennia.

Star Atlas will feature territory conquest, political dominance, a complex in-game economy with player-owned assets and the chance to earn real-world financial rewards – and much more – as a grand strategy game centered on space exploration. Since last year, Star Atlas has released a number of innovative NFT goods, including playable spacecraft, which have helped the company generate over $175 million in revenue.

In 2022, multiple big game releases are planned, including a web-based mini-game and a full production release known as the Volant Studio Showroom, which will be presented utilizing Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite – which will provide cinematic quality video game visuals.

Building inside the Star Atlas metaverse is truly a unique opportunity

“Building inside the Star Atlas metaverse is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Audio Up,” stated Jared Gutstadt, founder and CEO of Audio Up. “We’ve previously created ground-breaking musical activations as a team; their most recent NFT offers took advantage of our abilities to write and produce music with top-tier talent, and our next step will include a layer of fiction and world building. We’re looking forward to taking on the challenge of contemplating the world of metaverse storytelling and immersive audio.”
