Companies have embraced the concept by holding product launch events inside the metaverse

Companies have embraced the notion of the metaverse as the next chapter of the internet, organizing product launch events, fashion exhibitions, and developer conferences within the metaverse.

Nina Xiang’s book launch will be the first to take place entirely within the metaverse, with a virtual author meet-up, Proof Of Attendance Protocol (POAP) token giveaways, and a fortunate draw for free copies of the book.

“This will surely be different from previous book launch events when I sat behind a desk and autographed books for readers,” Nina Xiang adds. “Authors must discover new methods to engage with readers three years after the Covid epidemic began. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in a nice, comfortable parcel on Decentraland for a totally new experience that will most likely revolutionize future book events in our 3D virtual reality.”

Proof Of Attendance Protocol (POAP) tokens are Ethereum side-chain tokens that serve as proof of attendance at an event on the Gnosis Chain (previously xDai) Ethereum side-chain. POAP tokens have grown in popularity as a result of Decentraland activities, and more people are interested in collecting them.

On April 3, 2022, from 9am-10am Hong Kong time, the formal book launch will be followed by a virtual book launch event within Decentraland. Nina Xiang will engage with participants and answer audience queries as an avatar. Participants will get a one-of-a-kind POAP token, as well as the opportunity to win free copies of the book.
