DOW Jones Industrial Average Goes Up At Close of Trade


U.S. stocks were higher following the close as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Consumer products sectors led stocks higher Monday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average included 0.88% going to a brand new 1-month high, as the S&P 500 index climbed 1.64%, and the NASDAQ Composite index gained 2.56% at the close in NYSE.

The best performers for the session on the Dow Jones Industrial Average were Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL), which rose 6.35percent or 7.43 points to trade at 124.40 during the close. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE:GS) included 3.17% or 6.58 points to end at 214.12 and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) was up 2.59% or 5.59 points to 221.40 in belated trade.

The worst performers of the session were Dow Inc (NYSE:DOW), which dropped 1.58per cent or 0.78 points to trade at 48.58 during the close. Nike Inc (NYSE:NKE) declined 1.16percent or 1.52 points to end at 129.46 and International Business Machines (NYSE:IBM) had been down 0.45percent or 0.58 points to 127.21.

The performers which are top the S&P 500 were Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) which rose 6.35percent to 124.40, Ford Motor business (NYSE:F) that was up 5.79% to be in at 7.67 and Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) which gained 5.12per cent to shut at 48.25.

The worst performers had been CF Industries Holdings Inc (NYSE:CF) which was down 5.78% to 29.52 in late trade, Coty Inc (NYSE:COTY) which destroyed 4.51% to settle at 3.39 and Apache Corporation (NASDAQ:APA) that was down 3.72% to 9.31 at the close.

The performers that are top the NASDAQ Composite had been Wah Fu Education Group Ltd (NASDAQ:WAFU) which rose 114.69% to 6.870, Hexindai Inc (NASDAQ:HX) that was up 58.52% to stay at 2.6000 and Iconix Brand Group Inc (NASDAQ:ICON) which gained 41.80% to close at 1.030. U.S. stocks were higher following the close as gains in the Technology.
