Fender introduces its innovative music metaverse

The virtual reality (VR) universe of the Fender Stratoverse, which is dedicated to all aspects of music, was created in collaboration between the American musical instrument manufacturer Fender and the company Meta.

In Horizon Worlds, Meta’s social VR metaverse, there is an island in the shape of a guitar that guests can explore. This island features a variety of games and activities that can be played by visitors. Users will find one-of-a-kind sounds worth collecting all around the island as they go through its neck, body, and headstock. These audio bites can also be unlocked by completing a series of challenges and games, such as an air guitar competition, a pick-tossing game, or a guitar trivia contest.

Once users have completed the scavenger hunt and made it to the main area of the island, they will get access to the Riff Maker, which will allow them to use the sounds they have collected throughout the adventure to compose their very own original melodies

According to Fender, “Once a pick is unlocked, the player takes it down to the main island where they can place it in one of the 12 spots in the Riff Maker to add their sound to the customizable looping riff.” “Once a pick is unlocked, the player takes it down to the main island where they can place it in one of the 12 spots in the Riff Maker to add their sound to the “Upon successfully completing the treasure hunt, you will gain access to personalizable wearables and a promotional word reveal for a Fender Stratosphere playlist.”

“We could not be more happy to have been approached by Meta to bring Fender into the Metaverse for the very first time,” said Evan Jones, the Chief Marketing Officer of Fender. “We could not have asked for anything more.” “As a brand, we are committed to allowing all types of musical expression, and we are pleased by the potential that this technology offers to allow Fender fans and creators to join together, perform, and create across borders, cultures, and from any distance at all.”

At Cannes Lion, an international festival for people who work in advertising and creative communications, the Stratoverse wasn’t the only metaverse experience that was announced. During the course of the event, BMW Group unveiled the MINIverse, its very own virtual reality (VR) environment that was constructed within Horizon Worlds. Visitors will enjoy the opportunity to navigate a virtual track in a virtual MINI Cooper.

Horizon Worlds, which is currently accessible to the general public and can be downloaded for free on Meta Quest 2 VR headsets from the Quest Store, allows users to go to both the Stratoverse and the MINIverse.
