Mode, a Florida-based firm that creates virtual reality and augmented reality solutions for B2B e-commerce, has established a metaverse platform where manufacturers may sell items and NFTs.
The platform was unveiled in a press release on March 23 by the business, which noted that it integrates browser and VR/AR technology.
“We collaborated with creators, designers, and businesses to develop living digital worlds,” according to the company, “enabling users, explorers, customers, and shoppers to enter Web 3.0 and find, try on, and buy ‘digital lookalikes’ of nearly any product.”
“We feel that this incredible future is already here, and that adoption of this enabling technology has increased at an unprecedented rate, in part due to the pandemic and the necessity for more remote work, living, and social contexts,” stated Jimmy Hessenauer, CEO of Mode MetaStudios.
“We’re seeing a growing number of prominent brands enter the 3.0 metaverse in search of new business and branding opportunities, and it’s something that will soon become necessary for all manufacturers.”
Mode MetaStudios claims to have created a set of virtual reality (VR) product configurators, simulators, and viewers that allow customers to interact with manufacturers’ products and services via PCs, cellphones, TVs, and VR/AR viewing devices.
The digital assets, according to the business, have the same appearance and feel as their physical counterparts, “making them a perfect new sales tool and a method to reach and engage with consumers distant from any local retail.”
Mode joins a long list of organizations who are working to introduce e-commerce to the metaverse with this announcement.
Last month, Sokin, a UK-based currency account provider, stated that an e-commerce world in the metaverse would be launched shortly, allowing brands and enterprises to extend beyond their physical sites into the virtual world.
Sokin’s metaverse environment will house a 3D community of brands and retailers, allowing people to meet, talk, transact, invest, and buy using a mobile app.
