The SandBox NFT World Represents Progress For Games and Art

Published

on

We have written before about the Sandbox games and how they effectively revolutionized the gaming industry and changed what we thought was possible in the gaming arena. Well, the NFT collection that is supported by that same community has changed the way we look at NFTs as well. a intricate system that not only produces some unique and innovative art styles, but also integrates seamlessly into the overall gaming arc of the Sandbox world. In the main article today, we will be discussing some of the features that make the Sandbox collection so alluring and interesting.

From OpenSea

“The Sandbox is a community-driven platform where creators can monetize voxel assets and gaming experiences on the blockchain. The Sandbox metaverse comprises a map made up of 166,464 LANDS. LAND owners can host contests and events, stake SAND to earn and customize assets, monetize assets and experiences, vote in the metaverse governance, play games that you or others create, and more! Trade the collection and keep your eyes peeled for future drops.”

Because the Sandbox is an Ethereum-based decentralized NFT gaming metaverse, which effectively allows its users access to a non-tech savvy friendly landscape to create, sell, use, and make money off of their own virtual reality NFTs, it is very different from many collections and games. The crypto metaverse uses its native token SAND to underpin the entirety of the in-game economy.

The Copyright War May Just Be Warming Up for NFTs

Published

on

In the past, which is a relative term considering the short lifespan of NFTs, non-fungible tokens were argued over and even fought over. That is still the case, of course, but now an entirely new struggle may be brewing for the NFT sector, especially for big investors. Because there is a kind of “NFT/crypto winter” in the market, the idea that NFTs are a stable investment platform has been strongly called into question. But there is light at the end of the tunnel for some. That light is taking the form of an NFT copyright expiration. In this article we will be detailing a few of the particulars of this concept.

The Scoop

Basically, what’s happening in the crypto markets is a monumental and unprecedented downturn in value. The point behind the copyright war that is brewing is that, once copyrights expire for certain collections, the blockchains they are on notwithstanding,  then anybody would be able to buy up the rights and make the value even greater for when things heat back up for NFTs.

Granted, this may never happen, but savvy investors are always on the lookout for a way to make the next big crunch their own personal rocket ship into wealth and power.

The News Take

“NFT purchasers have been enticed by the idea of marrying the digital image to derivative rights. This practice should not be dismissed solely because of the risks, but purchasers should exercise caution when acquiring these assets. I’m glad the bubble has burst, I’m glad we’re in a bear market. There’s so much deadwood on the tree, we need a giant wind to blow 95% of it away.” –Colin Brady

These NFTs Have Been Hit the Hardest Because of the Crash

Published

on

The crypto crash has hit many of your favorite collections, hard. Some have been hit harder than others, but almost none of them have escaped the current freeze unscathed. Only the most innocuous and underrated pieces have been flying under the radar; not much to lose, not much to gain. But we found a few collections that have been backed up against the ropes and fighting hard to stay in the game, and here is the list we came up with.

The Scoop

Seemingly untouchable collections such as BAYC, or The Bored Ape Yacht Club, have seen massive destruction of their value, and this may be just the beginning. Cryptopunks has also been affected negatively by the crypto crunch, and it certainly won’t be the last.

Madonna and Beeple pieces have been drowned out by the downturn as well, and we aren’t certain what elements to examine first concerning the recent market downturn.

The Developer’s Take

“We realized NFT holders wanted to put their apes to work, brands wanted to hire apes, but nothing was standardized and neither side knew how to reach each other. Finding owners and contacting them is very hard since OpenSea and marketplaces do not have a messaging function and there are a lot of anonymous people.”

Nansen and Solana Integration is a Hot New NFT Development

Published

on

For a while now, we have been awaiting new developments in the NFT world. Considering the kinds of downturns and flops lately, the wait has been with bated breath. It’s no secret that the crypto-freeze, or crypto winter, has affected thousands of sectors and the NFT market is one of them. Many, many experts are saying that the freeze won’t come to an end anytime soon like the other recurring seasons of collapse have done. Some are even saying that we should prepare for a prolonged winter. Solana and Nansen are fighting back and making new deals to try and avoid the worst of the market scrub.

The Scoop

Solana, the massive blockchain designed for the support and development of DAPPS, is integrating onto the Nansen Blockchain. The process was started many weeks ago, and is now coming to fruition with the support of the developers and investors.

Though the plan is slightly behind projections that were released back in November of last year, the struggle has paid off, and now the rollout is progressing. The support systems have been integrated and started in April. We have a lot of chatter that suggests the integration will be highly beneficial for many different sectors.

The Developer’s Take

“We’ve been working on this most of the quarter as hard as we can, really. It feels like we’re quite far ahead from the rest of the ecosystem. I think we have scanned way more contracts than most people, and we’re doing it all on-chain all in real time.” -Paul Harwood
