Tokens.com, a publicly traded business that invests in Web3 crypto assets and enterprises associated to the Metaverse and NFTs, announced that Metaverse Group, a subsidiary of Tokens.com, has signed a lease agreement for its Metaverse headquarters with Canada SailGP Team. The building was designed and built by Metaverse Architects, a Tokens.com portfolio company, and is now available in Decentraland.
Team Canada SailGP is the most recent addition to the ultra-competitive SailGP circuit, which features national teams fighting in short, furious races at iconic stadium-style venues throughout the world, all the way to the grand finale – and a US$1 million first prize. The top sailors in the world compete on identical F50 hydrofoil catamarans at speeds surpassing 100 km/h in this high-tech, high-speed event.
“This relationship excites me tremendously,” stated Fred Pye, owner of Team Canada SailGP. “In the same way as Tokens.com and Metaverse Group are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in their respective disciplines, SailGP is at the forefront of its field. Our collaboration aims to help shape new norms for how physical firms operate in this new digital frontier, and I’m excited to see what we come up with next.”
The headquarters comprises of two structures, one of which houses Team Canada SailGP’s headquarters.
The team hired Metaverse Architects to design the Canada SailGP Team NFT collection and produce a live broadcast exhibit of the team’s cutting-edge technology. The headquarters are spread out across 60,000 square feet of flat terrain. Visitors will be able to tour the structures, learn about upcoming races, and spend time in designated meeting rooms where the Canadian team’s racing will be showcased.
Andrew Kiguel, CEO of Tokens.com and Executive Chairman of Metaverse Group, said, “Team Canada SailGP’s participation on Metaverse bridges the gap between the actual and virtual worlds.” “We are pleased to have them as a tenant and to have them contribute to the design development of our facility.”
Metaverse Group is a one-stop shop for businesses interested in breaking into this new market. We’re delighted to expose Team Canada SailGP to a new audience by launching their presence in the Metaverse. We’re excited to support the Canada SailGP Team as they compete.”
