Luxury motor company Acura announced last week it would kick off the release of the 2023 Integra by joining the Metaverse with a virtual showroom and launching its first-ever non-fungible token (NFTs).
Acura is launching its 2023 Integra model with the introduction of its first NFT and the creation of a digital storefront in the metaverse, making Acura the first carmaker to do so. A limited-edition NFT, created by artist Andreas Wannerstedt, will be given to the first 500 clients who reserve the car.
The new Metaverse showroom Acura of Decentraland will debut on 22 March
On March 22, the new Metaverse store Acura of Decentraland will open, offering visitors an immersive experience honoring the Integra and Acura tradition.
Acura will run its Integra campaign during the NCAA’s ‘March Madness’ collegiate basketball tournament, which will be broadcast on ESPN.com and CBSSports.com.
Acura will award the first 500 customers reserving the new Integra with a limited-edition NFT
According to the firm, the first 500 clients who reserve the new Integra will receive a limited-edition NFT created by 3D Andreas Wannerstedt.
Visitors to the immersive room may learn about the new vehicle’s characteristics, see Acura’s Integra Metaverse wearables, play interactive racing games, and participate in other activities.
The announcement comes after numerous major corporations created similar virtual showrooms to market their product lines, including Samsung, which just opened its Samsung 837X virtual showroom to the public.
The Metaverse of the South Korean company offers clients NFT rewards, live performances, and promotions on the Decentraland-based platform, which is one of the most popular in the globe.
