Sensorium, a major metaverse developer, has announced a strategic alliance with the Humanity 2.0 Foundation, leveraging the latest AI, VR, and NFT solutions. The parties will collaborate on the creation of the world’s first VR and NFT gallery, which will house the Vatican’s art, content, and academic activities.
Humanity 2.0 is a non-profit organization that uses leadership, media, and technology to address barriers to humanity’s socioeconomic and cultural development. Father Philip Larrey, Dean of Philosophy at the Pope’s University in Vatican City, is the project’s chairman.

Sensorium is a global technology firm that creates immersive experiences ranging from ultra-realistic virtual events performed by chart-topping artists such as David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, and Steve Aoki to interactive games and meditation activities. This massive digital environment is being created in partnership with entertainment powerhouses such as Jay-Roc Z’s Nation and Yann Pissenem’s The Night League by veterans of the gaming and VR industries.
The public-private partnership’s goal is to enable the creation of an NFT-gallery that will be accessible via VR and desktop and will feature renowned masterpieces from the Vatican’s collection.

The Vatican is one of the world’s most popular art museums, with over 6 million visitors each year. Michelangelo, Raphael, Marc Chagall, Salvador Dal, Paul Gauguin, Wassily Kandinsky, Vincent van Gogh, and Pablo Picasso are among the painters represented in the collection, which includes almost 800 pieces by 250 foreign artists. The museum, which dates back to the 16th century, houses priceless works of art spanning from renaissance and classicism to post-impressionism and surrealism.

The platform will be accessible through the most commonly available interfaces to guarantee a genuinely open experience.
