ColorChip focuses on AR and VR apps for the metaverse

ColorChip, the Photonic Integrated Circuit pioneer from Israel, debuts a multi-asset group that aims to provide data center and cloud customers broader product portfolio for data center connectivity. Spanning from the first 1mm up to 10km and beyond, including DAC/ADAC, SR/AOC, LR and Transport up to 800Gbps.

The group capabilities expanded on a few key pillars

A few major pillars of the group’s capabilities were extended “ColorChip CEO Yigal Ezra made a statement. “To begin, we’ve teamed up with tier-1 transceiver and high-speed connection experts in China to strengthen our R&D capabilities. Additionally, construct a 12,000 SQM mass production facility that will be cost-effective for the industry. Secondly, we’ve made strategic investments in essential optical components. Allowing us to better control our supply chain and provide our customers cost benefits. The third pillar is the addition of Silicon Photonics capabilities to our classic SystemOnGlassTM PIC platform. Moreover, paving the way for 800G+ Transceivers and other high-speed applications.

ColorChip has spotted an increasing need for LBS-based optical heads used in AR/VR

ColorChip has spotted an increasing need for LBS-based optical heads used in AR/VR and HUD applications and introduced a line of tiny projectors based on its SystemOnGlassTMplatform, supporting NED needs as well as automobile displays, in addition to boosting its connectivity offering.

Moreover, ‘we were able to construct an integrated ColorMux with MEMS scanner and Waveguide Glasses with the highest field of vision, brightness, resolution, and color scheme thanks to the ColorChip PLC – SystemOnGlassTM platform,” stated Eli Arad, VP R&D.

ColorChip aspires to provide customers strong capabilities for cable, module and optical devices

“As we see continued consolidation in the connectivity market, ColorChip. Moreover, powered by a global team, aspires to provide customers with strong capabilities for cable, module, and optical devices, address hyper-scale deployments and Metaverse consumer with strategic control over key components and platforms, and offer the widest array of products that will serve the industry for decades to come,” summarized Yigal Ezra, CEO.

In addition, ColorChip will be participating in the coming OFC taking place, March 6-10th in San Diego
