ColorChip focuses on AR and VR apps for the metaverse

ColorChip, the Photonic Integrated Circuit pioneer from Israel, debuts a multi-asset group that aims to provide data center and cloud customers broader product portfolio for data center connectivity. Spanning from the first 1mm up to 10km and beyond, including DAC/ADAC, SR/AOC, LR and Transport up to 800Gbps.

The group capabilities expanded on a few key pillars

A few major pillars of the group’s capabilities were extended “ColorChip CEO Yigal Ezra made a statement. “To begin, we’ve teamed up with tier-1 transceiver and high-speed connection experts in China to strengthen our R&D capabilities. ColorChip has spotted an increasing need for LBS-based optical heads used in AR/VR and HUD applications and introduced a line of tiny projectors based on its SystemOnGlassTMplatform, supporting NED needs as well as automobile displays, in addition to boosting its connectivity offering.

Moreover, ‘we were able to construct an integrated ColorMux with MEMS scanner and Waveguide Glasses with the highest field of vision, brightness, resolution, and color scheme thanks to the ColorChip PLC – SystemOnGlassTM platform,” stated Eli Arad, VP R&D.
