PvP Mech Web 3 Game 'Call to Arms' Now in Public Beta

Studio369 is launching MetalCore, a PvP mech game with Web3, entering closed beta for “Call to Arms,” designed by Stephan Martiniere, aiming for fun gameplay.

As the team gets ready for the game’s next development, Studio 369, a gaming studio creating the first-person shooter (FPS) MetalCore, has officially sent out a “Call to Arms” to gamers.

Studio 369 has confirmed the second MetalCore Closed Beta session, “Call to Arms,” an invite-only playtest that gives early fans a first-hand look at the latest game build in an exhilarating journey. The game is now in production with the web3-producing and publishing company Immutable Games.

“Call to Arms” Closed Beta

The “Call to Arms” closed beta will start on Feb. 26 at 3 p.m. PST, kicking off 24-hour game access. Additionally, the closed beta will feature a dynamic missions system, new rewards, and daily in-game tasks with bonuses for top performers. In an open environment, players will be free to move about and take advantage of the chance to collect, craft, and upgrade weapons and mechs, all while skillfully balancing PvE tasks with perilous PvP engagements.

However, that’s not all; by obtaining a MetalCore Genesis Infantry NFT, which is a collection of 10,000 unique and playable infantry NFTs with a range of rarities, players will unlock even more in-game rewards and exclusive access. Genesis Infantry will be playable in the next closed beta cycle if it is secured and held by players before Feb. 29 at 3 p.m. PST.

According to Studio 369 CEO Matt Candler, this closed beta playtest signifies an important development milestone for Studio 369; it is the first opportunity for them to introduce players to the MetalCore economy and the deep and extensive mechanics they have been building. He also stated that, as experienced and accomplished developers, their mandate is to deliver exceptionally fun gameplay alongside a well-designed and balanced economy. They have already received many accolades and positive feedback on MetalCore from investors and players alike.

Journeying through the Mech game

With Web3 components, the title is a hybrid Web2 free-to-play game in which players can purchase non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Prior to this, the company released free mints for NFTs. Free-to-play players are not required to make purchases, but they are welcome to do so to enhance their experience. It resembles nWay’s mech-based game, Wreck League, quite a bit. However, unlike in Wreck League, the entire mech is an NFT, not just pieces of the mech.

Based on your success, the game gives you daily missions to compete through the dynamic quest system. Although it’s not a full massively multiplayer online (MMO) game with dialogue trees, you may still interact with non-player characters (NPCs).

You can possess a tank, an airplane, or a mech. You can alter your loadouts and customize each one. You don’t need any NFTs to begin playing.

According to Candler, as you level up, you unlock and find blueprints for vehicles in the world as part of the loop. He added that when you defeat other enemies or mechs, you have to scan them to acquire that blueprint. So there’s this going out to the world and finding the mech blueprint that you want, again bringing it back to your base, getting the materials crafted, and you have the option to craft it into an NFT.
