Williams Racing partners for the metaverse

Terra Virtua, a metaverse platform, has joined Williams Racing as an official metaverse partner. The multi-year cooperation kicks off this weekend when the Formula One racing team competes in the inaugural Miami Grand Prix in Florida.

The collaboration will honor one of the most innovative and successful racing teams in British motorsport history. The alliance will attempt to offer more complexity to the fan experience on race weekends and beyond, with an emphasis on involvement.

Williams and Terra Virtua will also look into the possibility of creating digital collectibles and generative art projects that will transport Williams Racing fans into the metaverse through interactive virtual experiences.

Terra Virtua logo will feature on the car barge boards, driver race outfits, and mechanic overalls as the official metaverse partner. The Terra Virtua logo will appear on a number of team assets, both digital and physical.

“It’s a honor to collaborate with a British racing team with such a tremendous pedigree in motorsport,” Terra Virtua CEO Jawad Ashraf remarked. Terra Virtua shares an affinity with the team as progressive innovators in the space. We’re excited to get started and continue to look for new ways to connect.”

“Collaborating with Terra Virtua presents an opportunity to engage with future race fans in a completely new way,” said James Bower, commercial director of Williams Racing. Terra Virtua’s use of the Polygon blockchain, which has high sustainability credentials, corresponds to the team’s sustainability ideals.”
