Planet Mojo is a browser-based gaming platform, or “metaverse” as Mystic Moose refers to it

Planet Mojo is a browser-based gaming platform, or as Mystic Moose calls it, a “metaverse”. At the present, Planet Mojo’s flagship game is an auto-chess game in which players can purchase their teams as NFTs.

“Mojos” are the NFTs in question, and they are little plant beings endemic to the titular planet. Other lore and characters will be released at a later point on the platform.

“We invested in Mike and Mystic Moose because of the team’s experience designing, launching, and shipping commercial products for the gaming industry’s top heritage publishers” stated Yat Siu, executive chairman of Animoca Brands.

Furthermore, being a big lover of auto chess, I’m very looking forward to Planet Mojo’s planned blockchain-powered metaverse and auto chess game. We’re excited to collaborate with the team on taking blockchain gaming to the next level.”

Mike Levine said that the game’s theme is about the meeting of nature and technology

In an interview with GamesBeat, Mystic Moose CEO Mike Levine explained that the game’s subject is about the convergence of nature and technology. “Nature has influenced me in various ways. There is a lot of science fiction and cyberpunk in crypto. However we believe there might be a lot more of it. We wanted that to be a recurring element throughout the production.”

Planet Mojo, he added, is based on a gas-free solution and would include an environmentally friendly message. He added that the corporation will use the funds to build out the planet.

Mystic Moose refers to Planet Mojo as a “metaverse,” according to Levine, though he acknowledges that the term has diverse definitions. “We’re constructing a vast, broad universe in which players can mingle, interact, and play games,” he explained.

We chose not to create a universe where brands can enter since that is not how the actual world works. We wanted to create a wonderful setting where people could unwind.”

In the first half of 2022, Planet Mojo will release its first collection of Mojos.
