The Domonos project is a collection of one hundred hand-drawn artworks that have been coined on the Ethereum network as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Each Domonos NFT is a unique piece of Latin American digital art history; Miky Fábrega, an artist from Latin America, was responsible for its creation, while House of Attention was responsible for bringing it to life.
Miky Fábrega transferred his concentration to the well-known Latin American cartoon Mafalda when he was at the pinnacle of his successful artistic career
Mafalda was created in the 1960s. The voice of Mafalda, which was connected to Fábrega’s sense of defiance, served as a symbol that stood in opposition to the corruption and incoherence that was hurting Latin America at the time. The identity was subsequently incorporated into a number of humorous paintings created by Fábrega. These works were decontextualized and based on the artist’s wistful recollections of his childhood.
Both the non-governmental organization Vital Voices, which plays an important role in the mentorship of young girls, and the female-led nonprofit Surge, which is focused on onboarding the next generation of women into the Web3 industry, will receive donations from the proceeds of the sale of each NFT.
Following the acquisition of the initial one hundred Domonos pieces, the Domonos Initiative, with the support of ONETRIBE, will purchase one hundred hectares of Panamanian Rainforest in an effort to lessen the negative impact the project will have on the surrounding ecosystem.
