With Metakicks, a collection of NFT Sneakers, French startup Sneakmart has entered the metaverse. Buying a physical pair of sneakers to resell, according to the firm, is comparable to buying a digital pair to collect or resell at a better price later.
Metakicks is the first NFT shoe collection to release in a mystery box format. In practice, this means that when clients buy a Metakicks box, content is randomized and hidden. They will only discover it after purchase.
In this first shipment, a total of 6,250 Metakicks boxes will be available for purchase, according to the business. Via the Ethereum blockchain, Metakicks boxes is purchasable on Sneakmart’s official website.
“Sneakerheads enjoy collecting and wearing a large number of sneakers. Today, everyone loves shoes and wears them. We want to provide people the possibility to start collecting digital shoes through distinctive designs with Metakicks,” Sneakmart’s CEO and co-founder, Anthony Debrant, stated.
Sneakmart used a variety of shapes, textures, materials, and colors to create 15 unique 3D animated sneaker designs with 3D animated backgrounds. Years of buying, reselling, and collecting famous pairs of sneakers inspired this collection. “These 15 designs will be delivered at random in Metakicks boxes. Furthermore, they split into four categories: epic, super rare, rare, and regular”.
Moreover, in conjunction with celebrities and brands, Sneakmart will release a series of 1of1 limited edition Metakicks. Customers have a 10% chance of winning a hyped physical sneaker because the company has hidden 625 real pairs of sneakers within these boxes.
Sneakmart allows users to buy and sell a wide range of new and used streetwear items. Which is ranging from the hottest sneakers to trendy clothing and accessories. Further, it is free of charge to both buyers and sellers.
