The Sandbox announces new metaverse collaboration

Gaming companies FlickPlay and The Sandbox have entered into a partnership that points towards the metaverse. Announced on the 18th of April, the new alliance will enable players of both platforms to use a blockchain asset.

The metaverse move between FlikPlay and The Sandbox includes the interoperability concept

The interoperability notion is included in the metaverse move between FlikPlay and The Sandbox, allowing unfettered travel between multiple platforms in the virtual realm. Users will be able to carry their virtual belongings with them as they move across platforms.

Similarly, FlickPlay and The Sandbox announced a collaboration to build an NFT collection that would be compatible with both platforms. FlickPlay has released Flicky, its first NFTs collection, to this end. Flicky will showcase anthropomorphic chameleon designs on various garments.

To obtain digital items on the FlickPlay app, gamers use an interactive map of their physical area. Players can utilize their own phone camera to overlay the digital items into the physical world. They can also generate videos or other content by interacting with the objects. The Sandbox, on the other hand, is a virtual world in three dimensions.

Users can buy land on the Ethereum blockchain and use it to develop assets in the Sandbox. On the site, well-known artists such as Snoop Dogg have been able to perform concerts and shoot music videos. The Sandbox has increased in popularity over time, and it presently supports over 2 million members.

People who acquire Flicky will be able to use it as an avatar on The Sandbox

Some customers who buy Flicky will be able to use it as an avatar on The Sandbox thanks to a partnership between FlickPlay and The Sandbox. According to Pierina Merino, creator and CEO of FlickPlay, Flick owners will be able to unlock a version of the chameleon that can only be used in The Sandbox at first. He went on to say that the corporation is striving toward interoperability by the end of the year. Owners of Flicky will be able to utilize the NFT on both platforms after that.

Because of the increased demand for NFTs, the Sandbox has recently seen a dramatic growth. The company’s founder had stated that it will merge with businesses with a metaverse focus.

In order to keep up with the growing number of users, the company continues to hire more personnel. The Sandbox employed around a hundred people just a year ago. However, the gaming company now employs approximately 200 people.
