Otherdeed NFTs Climb Ahead of ‘Second Trip Launch’
An opening scene from Otherdeed.

Otherdeed non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from the Otherdeed Metaverse saw their monthly sales surpass $50 million for the first time since May 2022 and eventually settled at approximately $53 million

By testing such a metric, Otherdeed NFTs reached its second-highest monthly sale since joining the digital collectibles ranks in the fifth month of 2022.

As the key to claiming land in the Otherside, Otherdeed NFTs are among the top ten (10) best-selling digital collectibles of all time with total sales of more than $1 billion.

Sales of the digital arts in its first official month came fast as buyer and seller activity led to a crash of the Ethereum blockchain which houses the NFTs.

Throughout May 2022, Otherdeed NFTs generated about $935 million from the activities of 21,554 and 17,458 unique buyers and sellers respectively.

With total transactions soaring above 44,000, the average sale value reached $21,554 and this remains its all-time monthly high.

Unique buyers followed monthly sales as the second-all-time high

While many new stakeholders of the NFT industry may not place much emphasis on unique buyers, it plays a great role in knowing the number of new digital collectors interested in a particular project.

After seeing more than 20,000 new buyers fork out millions of dollars to get their hands on pieces of NFT in its first month, unique buyers fell under 4,000 until February 2023 when 4,377 new lovers of the project poured more liquidity into a section of the Yuga Labs project which is now worth billions of dollars.

Otherdeed NFT sales went up amid news of the upcoming ‘Second Trip’ launch

Yuga Labs, the creators behind the project continue to make headlines with new NFT projects as part of the expansion of its ecosystem.

On December 22, the Otherside Metaverse announced in a short video on Twitter that the “Otherside is waking up” and the next phase of the project in the form of the Otherside Second Trip will be launched in late March 2023.

While the ‘First Trip’ featured a metaverse game which was made available to Otherside land plots owners, the latter will feature new environments and updated mechanics.

Many NFT experts believe the rush to get Otherdeeds which could be used as a basis for potential airdrops just like Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) holders benefitted from Otherdeed NFTs due to being owners of Bored Ape and Mutant Apes explains the spike in monthly sales.

Otherdeed has extended the lead over other projects thanks to February 2023 push

After being threatened by Flow blockchain’s National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Top Shots, Otherdeed has widened the gap between the two most popular NFTs

It has generated more sales than other collections such as Azuki, CloneX, and Moonbirds, and continues to make strides to close the gap on Art Blocks, MAYC, CryptoPunks, BAYC, and Axie Infinity.
