Samsung enters the Metaverse at CES trade show

“Metaverse” may be the latest buzzword of the tech world, but regardless of whether or not this concept has a future. Samsung is joining the metaverse with its own VR world called “My House” in collaboration with Naver Z’s ZEPETO platform.

Metaverse is an online virtual environment that combines internet and IoT functionality. That in addition allows users to engage with one another through virtual meetings, talks, and get-togethers, among other things.

Samsung’s My House joins a metaverse platform of 250 million worldwide users

The South Korean company is adding its own virtual area into the ZEPETO metaverse through the My House world map, which has more than 250 million users around the world. It is described by Samsung as a “space-decorating experience”. Moreover visitors may, of course, customize their virtual homes with numerous Samsung products.

In January, the South Korean company will show off its My House metaverse at CES 2022. For the time being, it looks to be primarily a marketing tool, yet it has the potential to evolve into something more. In addition Samsung’s My House metaverse map will be available for download on the Google Play Store. In addition through the ZEPETO mobile app.

Samsung used AR technology to market its latest product

Samsung used augmented reality (AR) technology to market its latest product through the Dreamground event in Hollywood in recent weeks. In addition Microsoft was also a partner, likely to build a new HoloLens head-mounted display. In spite of the termination of Gear VR support, Samsung appears to be focusing increasingly on virtual and augmented reality applications.
